Tribe Time – ISTA

Tribe Time

What is Tribe Time?

Do you feel the excitement rising for your time of transformation in Guatemala?

Are you making the decision to jump into this amazing journey coming together with your soul tribe and honoring your full potential as a divine being in this life?

We’re so honored to have you here and are looking forward to helping you make the most out of your time in Guatemala and at Lake Atitlan.

The Atitlan Lake is not just a precious and beautiful place on this planet, it’s also a really powerful energy vortex that holds you on your path to become more fully the powerful and divine being that you came here to be!

The ISTA Guatemala team is super excited to have you here, and we’ll be offering a wide array of opportunities for you to rest, integrate, discover and play, both before and after the March 2020 ISTA trainings here at the lake.

We’ve gone ahead and rented some amazing properties all around the new-age village and meeting point San Marcos la laguna, so we can stick together and bask in the afterglow of our time at Villa Sumaya. Together with the carefully selected accommodation options, we’re also hosting a number of tribe-only events to keep us vibrating together and get the most of our time here at this magical place called Lake Atitlan.

ISTA Family Brunch

Nectar Brunch ISTA Guatemala Tribe Time

This wholesome family brunch at ISTA Grad run Café, Nectar, is becoming a real tradition. The soulful café Nectar has been hosting this informal post-training get-together for the third year in a row and it’s proven a perfect decompression activity for the transition out of Villa Sumaya into San Marcos. We have the café to ourselves, so we can bask in the juice that emanates though us as a group, and integrate and play together.

Mayan Fire Ritual with Cacao

Shadi Henau has been hosting Maya Shamanism Journeys through Guatemala for about three years now, and together with local community elder and Mayan Cosmology teacher Francisco Puac, he’s offering an afternoon of traditional Fire Ritual preceded by a short introduction to Mayan cosmovision. This unique experience will allow you to more deeply connect with the local tradition and culture of this high-energy place, and to understand and integrate the cosmic wisdom the local Maya people inherited from their ancestors. This ritual of gratitude allows for that cosmic wisdom to be grounded, and it is a great way to say thanks to the ancestors of this land for our time spent in the womb of the Mayan Highlands: Lake Atitlan.

Temple Night ISTA Guatemala Tribe Time

As a post-training tribe time icing on the cake, and amazing last chance to connect, dance, cuddle and bask in the lake’s powerful energy, we’re offering a special ISTA family Cacao Temple. Ceremonial Cacao is an ancient plant teacher from Mesoamerica and lends itself wonderfully to creating a space of harmony and creativity. Together with the guidance of Cacao facilitator Shadi Henau and Mayan abdominal therapist Mariu Gobbato, we will journey deeply in myth and mystery by the mesmerizing Atitlan lake. There will be the possibility to swim, bathe in the hot tub or enter the temazcal (steam sauna). This event will be open only to ISTA graduates.
